Production Swords

Our production swords are ideal for those looking for a no frills, practice blade. All of the production line is forged from a single billet of AISI 1095 high carbon steel and gently quenched in oil. Through hardened to 57 HRC, they are highly resistant to lateral bends and are economical choices for both forms and cutting practice. For those looking for a little bit more art in their sword, options such as folded steel are available on special order.

Xin Jian ($199.99) SOLD OUT (only factory seconds left)!

Our entry level jian comes with simple, contemporary styled brass fittings. The handle and scabbard are crafted from hua li hardwood exhibiting a unique grain. This jian is light for a Qing dynasty jian and is given a slightly forward point of balance to enhance cutting power. Ideal for those who value a nimble blade without sacrificing cutting power.

Ox Tail Dao ($189.99)

Appearing in the late 19^th century, this dao was a favourite of civilian militia and rebels. Compared to military issued dao, the ox tail possessed a thinner, broader tip for devastating, shearing cuts on un-armoured targets at the expense of tip durability and thrusting effectiveness. Our version is a triple fullered variant with a straight spine near the tip.

Da Dao ($169.99):

The da dao is a short, stout blade equivalent to the European falchion. Designed to dispatch foes with ferocious, cleaving cuts in close quarters combat, our model is based on compact WWII versions. The very symbol of the Chinese resistance, da dao, were used successfully by both Communist and Nationalist troops during the Japanese invasion.
